DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! \nThe University of Ottawa\, Office of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and the Department of Psychiatry are proud to present this 1/2-day in-person course at The Ottawa Civic Hospital\, Amphitheatre. \nThe focus of this year’s course is on Evidence Based Stepped Perinatal Mental Health Care\, with updates and clinical applications of the new Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) guidelines. In live seminars\, you will hear directly from the experts involved in the development of these guidelines. The morning closes with a comprehensive panel of community resource providers to showcase their integral roles in the stepped care model. Information on client self-collected gonorrhea and chlamydia testing and lab-based testing for HIV\, syphilis\, hepatitis C will be covered. Discussion of HIV testing options through anonymous or client collected self-tests. Information on how to receive no cost STBBI treatment options at your clinics. In addition\, we will discuss the OPH sexual health programs available – STBBI testing; low cost/no cost contraception and free condoms – with services provided in a fixed setting\, mobile outreach\, mailout and more.       \nACCREDITATION\nThis one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development for up to 3.0 Mainpro+ credits (1 credit per webinar).
