The course will emphasize decision making with lectures\, panel discussion\, debate of controversial topics\, and complications. Various demonstrations will be performed by the faculty\, including ultrasound sessions. The non-operative and rehab aspect of most of these conditions will be integrated into the discussion. This will be of specific interest to general physicians\, physiotherapists\, and athletic trainers. \nSeptember 26-27\, 2024\nIn-person conference\nBrookstreet Hotel\, Ottawa (525 Legget Drive\, Ottawa\, Ontario)\nSymposium website\nRegister now! \nBy the end of the educational activity\, participants will be able to:  \n\nAccurately diagnose knee injuries and recognize the features that will dictate surgical technique;\nOutline the alternatives for approaches to the treatment of challenging and controversial cases;\nRecall the current up to date techniques of the complex knee arthroplasty;\nRecognize common complications of knee surgery\, primarily in effort to avoid them\, and adjust technique to ensure the optimum patient outcomes;\nIdentify the anatomy of the knee with the use of ultrasound and demonstrate its use for intraarticular and intratendinous insertion\n\nAccreditation \nThis event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada\, and approved by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development.
