If you are external to the University of Ottawa\, Faculty of Medicine and are interested in this program\, please contact cpd@uottawa.ca. \n \nCourse Description:\nEssentials for Academic Leadership is a series of 5 workshops aimed at providing clinicians and non-clinicians with tools to successfully lead and manage teams. \nParticipants will develop an understanding and skills of how to:\nLead a process rather than manage it\nManage various types of team members effectively and deal with conflict\nGet the most out of team members and keep them motivated\nIntroduce and manage change \nParticipants will also be apprised of legal implications and emerging trends as it relates to managing team members. Completion of the program will be acknowledged by a certificate in leadership from the Office of Continuing Professional Development. \nRegistration Details\nEarly bird rate ends July 19\, 2024 – register early and save 80% (course valued at $3\,000)! DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! \nThe University of Ottawa\, Office of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and the Department of Psychiatry are proud to present this 1/2-day in-person course at The Ottawa Civic Hospital\, Amphitheatre. \nThe focus of this year’s course is on Evidence Based Stepped Perinatal Mental Health Care\, with updates and clinical applications of the new Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) guidelines. In live seminars\, you will hear directly from the experts involved in the development of these guidelines. The morning closes with a comprehensive panel of community resource providers to showcase their integral roles in the stepped care model.
