The Departments of Psychiatry and Obstetrics are excited to welcome you to the 5th annual Ottawa Curriculum for Perinatal Mental Health! This year’s course will focus on the impact of traumatic birth experiences and NICU admissions on mothers, fathers, infants, and healthcare providers. In live seminars, you will hear directly from experts in the fields of child psychiatry, perinatal mental health, neonatal care and physician wellness. The expanded course agenda will facilitate interdisciplinary networking and dialogue. The afternoon closes with presentations from a comprehensive panel of community resource providers to showcase their integral roles in supporting new and growing families. This course will be of interest to ALL perinatal and pediatric care providers, including obstetricians, pediatricians, family doctors, psychiatrists, midwives, nurses, doulas, social workers, occupational therapist’s psychotherapists, lactation consultants, and learners.
