Who should attend? (Experience with Quality Improvement: Limited to None)
Ontario family physicians and specialists and their teams who are looking to advance their quality improvement skills and those who are working on their CPSO QI/QA practice improvement plans. This course is designed for clinicians who want to improve patient care and outcomes, achieve efficiency, reduce care costs or advocate for a change that is needed in your setting.

This is an interactive, experiential learning program designed to provide a practical approach to quality improvement through skill development, the identification of practice data sources, leveraging your EMR and the application of QI tools to develop a practice improvement plan and its implementation.

There will be 3 virtual 3 hour sessions with didactic and interactive learning, breakout sessions with trained QI coaches, as well as practice enhancement facilitation by OntarioMD + other QI support between sessions to assist in application of knowledge gained.

By the end of the program, the learner will be able to:
Complete a QI practice plan (such as CPSO or QIIP)
Identify data sources for use in practice assessment
Prioritize an area(s) for improvement in practice
Develop an approach to implementing a beneficial change
Assess the impact of the improvement change
Establish a system to enable ongoing and future improvements
